Liverpool sell Leto to Panathinaikos

Liverpool have decided to offload Argentine Sebastian Leto and Panathinaikos have swooped in to make a permanent signing.

The player arrived in 2007 from Lanus in Argentina but except for very few apperances in Champions league qualifier and League cup games he wasn't part of Rafa's lineup.

This was followed with his problems with getting a working permit and thus he was loaned out to Panathinaikos' rivals Olympiakos.

It was believed Olympiakos would make the signing permanent but the deal could not be agreed to where Panathinaikos swooped in to sign him.

It is expected the deal would be signed for 1.3million pounds for a period of four years.
