Joey Barton sentenced for four months

Joey Barton was sentenced earlier in the day for attacking a team mate last year.

Barton who is already serving a six month sentence for an earlier attack in Liverpool last boxing day.The current sentence is for four months suspended prison sentence and 200 hours of community service after he punched Manchester City team mate,Ousmane Dabo.
Today’s sentence has however been suspended for two years and a nine month supervision order and told to pay 6,500 pounds of which 3000 would go to the victim.
Following the order,Manchester City had this to say,
"Newcastle United notes the sentence passed to Joey Barton at Manchester's Minshull Street crown court today," the Newcastle statement said.
"The club now intends to hold discussions with Joey and his representatives at the earliest possible opportunity.
"Until such time that this meeting has taken place, there will be no further comment from the club."

Barton had previously denied the charges but yesterday he pledged guilty to assault charges.
It remains to be seen what Newcastle United does now? Will he be sacked?Would another team want this extremely unprofessional player who has violent records to show in the past?
