Match 3 : Austria vs Croatia : Report

Austria didn't get off to a great start just like their co-hosts Switzerland after they were beaten 1-0 by the Croats in Vienna.(read here)
The game didn't start off well for Austria when they conceded a goal right in the 3rd minute of the game after Olic was brought down rather clumsily in the box.At first I wasn't sure if it was a penalty or no but after further replays I was convinced that the penalty was the right decision.Modric scored from the penalty spot.It wasn't a great penalty as it was hit right down the middle which the Austrian keeper Macho wasn't far away from.

The game was pretty much dominated by the Austrians who were coming strongly on the Croatia goal as the game continued.Only thing missing was the finishing.
This game was certainly better than the Swiss game or even the Portugal game where only one side dominated and the other just played defense.Interesting game but breaking down the Croatian goal seemed to be difficult as the Austrian's found out.

Austria just lacked the final touch/finishing. They played well, considering they are 92nd ranked.

Yeah I agree Austria weren't that bad either just couldn't penetrate the defense and when they did their shots didn't disturb the scoreline or the keeper for that matter!
