Match 1 : Switzerland vs Czech Republic : Report
Euro 2008 finally commenced with the hosts Switzerland taking on the Czechs. The game wasn't as easy flowing or smooth as the footie fanatics would have liked for the start of the tournament.
The chances were few and far between. The majority of the chances created were by the hosts. The turning point for me would be the injury to Alexander Frei who suffered a knee injury and might miss out on the remaining tournament or so his tears suggest.Frei is Switzerland's all time highest goal scorer with 35 from 59 appearances.
The only goal of the game came in the 70th minute when Sverkos beat the offside trap and scored from the side of his right foot.

Switzerland had chances to equalise but failed to take the chances.

So you started adding videos. Cool.
I was supporting Czech to win, but felt bad for the Swiss. They played excellent football.
Yeah I know the swiss were better by far.Czech's looked helpless without Rosicky who is a great player in midfield. If it hadn't been for Cech we would have seen a very different result.
