Van Persie to miss opener

Arsenal striker,Robbie Van Persie might not be fit in time for the first game for the Dutch against world champions,Italy.This revelation comes from Oranje manager,Marco Van Basten.
Van Persie has been battling to recover from a thigh injury and has stepped up training regime now.
Van Basten had this to say,

"His condition is improving from day to day, but it is logical that there is still some improvement to come.

"The Italy match will be too early for him."

This would certainly be a blow to Netherland who are starting the campaign against Italy who would be full out on attack.Already,Netherlands are without Ryan Babel who also got injured earlier.
