Niko Kranjcar's season over

Portsmouth's creative midfielder Niko Kranjcar has been ruled out for the remaining part of the season due to an ankle injury.

The Croat sustained the injury in the 1-0 win over Bolton and missed the trip to Old Trafford where Portsmouth lost 2-0.

Portsmouth were expecting his return to cool down the pressure at the bottom of the table but the scans revealed bone related damage.

Kranjcar has scored 4 goals in 25 appearances this season and would have been an indispensable part of the setup with Pompey just 6 points away from safety.
