Cannavaro's replacement announced

Italian Football Federation have announced the replacement for Fabio Cannavaro(read here) in the form of Fiorentina defender,Alessandro Gamberini.
Reports in the Italian media state Cannavaro would need surgery and would not be able to play in the Euros.He had yesterday suffered an ankle injury after a collision with fellow defender,Giorgio Chiellini.
Gamberini has been rewarded following a great season with Fiorentina where they finished fourth and clinched the final berth for the Champions League.
