Silvestre is worth a pound

Mirror's Brian Reade thinks Arsenal's Mikael Silvestre is worth a pound. In a dig at the Frenchman who has had only one season with the Gunners.

In his article, which can be read here, he mentions how Bordeaux's Marouane Chamakh is valued at more than £7million which was Arsenal's bid for the player.

Bordeaux seem to be wanting cash + Silvestre as a deal for the Moroccan striker. To take it further, the columnist then comments how Chamakh would then be worth £7,000,001.

In my opinion, Silvestre is a great defender who has been wonderful at Manchester United and then now at Arsenal.

Not a typically outstanding defender but not a bad one to be considered worth a pound either! Lol. Not to forget, he's decent going forward as well by playing on flanks.
