Wes Brown to miss remainder season

Manchester United defender Wes Brown has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to injury.

Brown has missed majority of the season due to a foot injury and would now miss Manchester United's meet with Barcelona in Rome on the 27th of May.

Along with this he would not form part of the defence for The Red Devils to retain their Premier League crown.

The player last featured against Everton in January and even then struggled with the injury.

He made some appearances for the reserve side to make a return to the senior games but setback in training has sidelined him for the remaining games.

Sir Alex confirmed the reports by saying :

Wes has had a bit of a setback during the week and that's knocked him back a bit.

It is not major but the fact the season is coming to an end makes it difficult for him.

We have Gary [Neville] back fit so we are not too bad. But it is disappointing for Wes.
